Who We Are
In short, The Village Chapel is a non-denominational church whose focus is on worshiping God and developing community. We like to say that we are rethinking church, giving new forms to ancient truths.
Ours is a diverse group, some younger, some older, some singles, some marrieds, some "single agains." We have creative types who like art, literature and music. We have medical, business and professional types, and we have some still "finding themselves" types. We have people who have come from many different faith traditions and others who, somewhere along the way, grew disinterested or became disconnected from the church altogether.
What We Believe
One of the primary roles of the church is to teach and encourage good thinking in matters of faith. To that end, we want you to know some of the basics of what we believe and teach here at The Village Chapel.
The Village Chapel is a non-denominational church family whose primary desire is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Therefore, we seek to live in right relationships with God, our neighbors and with each other.
When & Where We Meet
The Village Chapel currently meets for four identical services: Sundays at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 6:00 pm, and Saturdays at 5 pm. All services are held in the 100 year old chapel of the St. Bernard building, 2021 21st Ave. S. in Hillsboro Village. For directions, click HERE. The service includes acoustic praise and worship music, congregational readings, a time of prayer, and a verse-by-verse approach to Bible study. Come as you are, bring your friends, bring your family and kids.
Paid childcare workers are needed for Wednesday mornings, Tuesday evenings & Friday evenings, as well as teaching positions open for our new Saturday night service.
TVC Choir: We are currently rehearsing for our upcoming performance. No experience is necessary.
