Who We Are
In short, The Village Chapel is a non-denominational church whose focus is on worshiping God and developing community. We like to say that we are rethinking church, giving new forms to ancient truths.
Ours is a diverse group, some younger, some older, some singles, some marrieds, some "single agains." We have creative types who like art, literature and music. We have medical, business and professional types, and we have some still "finding themselves" types. We have people who have come from many different faith traditions and others who, somewhere along the way, grew disinterested or became disconnected from the church altogether.
But at the end of the day, most of us have realized that we need to nourish our spiritual lives and we've grown tired of our tendency toward spiritual lethargy and cynicism. So, we're doing something about it. We're becoming intentional about our faith by drawing close to the Lord, studying His Word, and learning to give and take in the context of a community of believers. At The Village Chapel we seek to be transformed as we feed our minds on God's truth and our hearts on God's love. And we desire for our relationship with God to make a difference in our every day lives.
If you can identify with any of those thoughts or feelings, you might find yourself comfortable with us. We're a fairly easy to get to know group and we invite you to visit and join in with us as we cast ourselves onto the generous grace of God for renewal and refreshment. Our style is casual, so come as you are. We gather to worship at 9 am, 11 am and 6 pm on Sundays, all duplicate services using songs, congregational readings, prayer, and a verse by verse approach to studying the Bible. We have an exciting youth ministry, a loving and creative children's ministry, and a safe and comfortable nursery for the youngest ones.
Feel free to browse the rest of the website for more details on what we believe, when we meet, and what special events we have planned to see if you share the same passions and vision. May the warmth of God's presence renew and refresh you today!
