TVC Annual Church Picnic

Make plans now to join us for what has become a wonderful annual tradition. This year’s TVC Picnic will take place on Saturday, June 1, at Fannie Mae Dees Park (aka Dragon Park) from 5 – 7pm. There will be bouncy houses, a balloon man, and some other fun surprises as well as our infamous marshmallow fight!  Food will be potluck picnic style so be sure to bring enough for your family and some to share.  Feel free to bring a lawn chair, frisbee, bocce ball set, ladder golf, cornhole set, or any other lawn game to play. Paper goods and bottled water will be provided. 

Second Saturdays of Summer Service

Join us throughout the summer as we devote the second Saturday of each month (June 8, July 13, August 10)to serving local missions organizations. For the June 8 date we’ll be working on projects with Legacy Mission Village, Hope Clinic for Women, and First Wesleyan Church.  To see a complete listing of the organizations assigned for each of the dates, CLICK HERE or go to missions.thevillagechapel.com.

Guatemala Sponsor Box Collection

Do you sponsor a Compassion child in Patzicia, Guatemala? If you would you like to send a gift to your sponsored child, the TVC Guatemala Missions Team will be collecting gift boxes on Sunday, June 9 and 16 before and after all services. Gifts should be prepared in standard size shoeboxes or plastic bins (no boot boxes, please) and need to follow Compassion’s guidelines available at the Info Table. You may also include a personal letter and photos (we will have your letters translated prior to travel). Please include $5 cash in your box to help offset the cost of transporting your box to Guatemala. Each letter, box and lid should be marked with the child's full name and the sponsor name and number. Interested In Getting Baptized?

TVC’s next water baptism service is scheduled for Monday, June 17, at 6:30 pm at the home of Allen and Joan Kaiser at 6225 Bridlewood Lane in Brentwood. If you are interested in water baptism for yourself or your child, email info@thevillagechapel.com to sign up or to receive more information. Anyone interested in being baptized will need to attend one of two duplicate informational meetings, on Sunday, June 9 at 11:15 am in The Den or Sunday, June 16 at 9:45 am in The Den. All are welcome to attend the baptism service as witnesses for those being baptized.

New Restore Boundaries for Women

Women, join us for a summer Boundaries class through Restore Ministries. The group will meet Sunday nights from June 9 to August 18 at 6 pm in Room 105(except for Father’s Day). The cost for the course is $120, and financial assistance and payment plans are available.
